The Andrade Gutierrez Group was founded in 1948 as Construtora Andrade Gutierrez, which, as of today, is among the largest heavy construction companies in Latin America, with operations in Latin America, Europe and Africa.
In the early 1990’s, Andrade Gutierrez, in additional to its successful experience in heavy construction, developed distinctive competencies to identify, structure, manage and exit investments in the infrastructure sector. To date, Andrade Gutierrez has directly invested more than US$ 500 million in controlling equity stakes of several companies, participating actively in their management.
Currently, Andrade Gutierrez Group has equity investments in the following sectors: telecommunication, sanitation, highway concessions, electric energy and airport, among others. These investments were made through AG Telecom (investment vehicle for the telecommunication sector) and AG Concessões (investment vehicle for public concessions). AG Concessões' shareholders are Andrade Gutierrez, which holds 77.14% of the company's capital, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Fundação Atlântico (a Brazilian pension fund). AG Telecom is fully owned by Andrade Gutierrez.
